My musical career began in the suburbs of Chicago where I developed my music performance skills as a percussionist. Upon discovering an interest in composition, I pursued a music degree under the instruction of Joel Naumann, Stephen Dembski, and Les Thimmig at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1998, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition and Business Marketing.
Composing music has always been an emotional outlet and my years spent in Madison, Wisconsin provided me with a wide variety of compositional techniques, not to mention great memories performing with peers in alternative rock bands. Though, if you listen to my concert works it’s clear that I have a fondness for music of the late-romantic period.
These days I reside in the San Francisco Bay Area…
